Love card

Love card

When was it the last time you have sent a postcards to your loved ones?
Do you like to send them? Or maybe you like to make them?

I belong to both categories, to those who love to make them and sent them. Through the year I make and sent cards for Birthdays, Easter and Christmas (ca. 80 cards every year). I love when I can make someone happy with such a small thing as postcard.

We can also send cards to express our love.

Love card- Materila
What we need:

  • Plain paper (240g) or you can already get pre made cards with envelopes
  • some colored paper or  with glitters
  • scissors or cutter
  • pencil
  • ruller
  • paper cutter with heart shape
  • glue
  • sewing machine or needle and thread

Love card- paper Hearts with paper cutter
First we will prepare our postcards if you don‘t have pre made cards with envelopes.
We need ruler, pencil and  measurement for A6 size (105 mm x 148 mm for card we need double).
When this is done, we can start cutting colored paper or paper with glitters with a paper cutter. We need loooots of hearts.

Love Crad- glue down hearts on a card
Use permanent glue to stick paper hearts on prepared card in lines.

Love card- sewing heart on card
Now we can use sewing Maschine and sew paper Hearts on Card (before they have to be glued down on a paper). Go through the center and do not sew over the first and last stitch, we will manually make a knot on both ends.

Love card- make a knot
Pull bottom thread at the back of the card, at the same time you will pull the top thread to the back. Now make a knot.

Love card- paper hearts
It will look exactly like this :) Of course you can do it by hand if you don‘t have a Maschine or you don‘t know how to use it. In this case you need a Pin and pencil, make very light line. Use Pin for making mini holes for better hand sewing especially through the hearts as there are more layers.
